Anytime for all channels
Challenge
Cologne-based Qvest Group, an Anytime customer, was tasked with the planning, providing technical equipment and commissioning Asharq News’ new media headquarters in Dubai. High-tech solutions from over 25 manufacturers were to be integrated into the new facility’s studios, newsrooms, data centres, production and post-production rooms as well as office spaces. The various shipments needed to be transported just in time to the construction site – some directly, some for prefabrication via the Qvest warehouses in Cologne. The project was extremely demanding. The schedule was tight. And there was no room for mistake, as broadcast delays are very expensive. Another layer of complexity was added by the customs clearance process in the Middle East.
Solution
MBS Anytime ensured seamless collaboration among all parties involved by carefully selecting supply chain partners in the MENA region. This meticulous selection process ensured the impeccable quality, punctuality and secure delivery of the sensitive goods. Moreover, proactive preparation for customs clearance was undertaken to adhere to the intricate import regulations, and an external certification authority was brought on board. A dedicated point of contact remained available to Qvest 24/7, providing continual updates on shipment status. This seamless communication proved to be a significant benefit for the customer.
Result
Lighting, sound and digital technology were up and running right on schedule. On-site staff training proceeded seamlessly as planned. In the meantime, Qvest designed and equipped a mobile TV production facility in Riyadh for the multi-platform news channel. Once again, MBS Anytime provided efficient support throughout the process.
