Maximilian Peters joined MBS Speditionsgesellschaft at the beginning of 2019. Now he takes over the branch management of Troisdorf and Worms from Heinz-Peter Engels who is taking his well-deserved retirement after 32 years.
“I had already worked with Andreas Janetzko in the past before I came to MBS,” explains Maximilian Peters.
“After Daniel Steckel, Managing Director of MBS Speditionsgesellschaft, had convinced himself of my abilities, I was allowed to start work. In the past three years, my old team has already been able to get a lot going – thank you for that! Now I am happy about the trust placed in me to give me this new task. It is good and right that MBS ensures an orderly handover to the next generation and this is a testament to the farsightedness of our management.”
For Peters, it quickly became clear that although he enjoyed the management of a departement a lot, he definitely saw potential for more for himself. “In the various digitisation projects that I was able to accompany at MBS, I was able to get a picture of the full potential of the handling systems used and the processes currently applied. I will use this knowledge, coupled with my mentality of not being satisfied with the status quo, to set positive accents.”
Maximilian Peters sees many opportunities, but also challenges for the Troisdorf location. “Existing work processes have proven themselves in recent years and, together with competent customer advice, are the basis for the successful development of the past years and decades. However, it is now much more a question of digitalising these processes in such a way that in the future, in addition to the logistical and customs processing, there will be enough time left over to continue to maintain high-quality customer service.”
“Personnel development is a very important element of our human resources policy. Satisfied and motivated employees are important to us,” explains Andreas Janetzko, Managing Director of MBS Speditionsgesellschaft. “To make this whole area even more focused and sustainable, Tamara Häußler, Head of HR & Communication, has been strengthening our team since September 2021.”
