In June 2024, MBS Logistics Shanghai received IATA certification. This certification confirms our Shanghai office meets the highest industry standards, staying current with air transport regulations, local laws and customs procedures. As an IATA Cargo Agent, Shanghai has access to more than 290 IATA-approved airlines collectively responsible for over 80% of global air cargo volumes. Congratulations to the MBS Shanghai team on this significant achievement!

Christoph Schilz, Managing Director MBS Cologne, visited the Porlogis team in Portugal for a strategic meeting. After years of successful partnership, this in-person meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss future plans and strengthen our collaboration. A special thanks to the Porlogis team for their hospitality and for facilitating a productive meeting. We look forward to continuing to work together and achieving our shared goals!
Our Shanghai team participated in the premier CPHI pharmaceutical event in China from 19-21st June. Here, the team presented our specialised logistics solutions designed for the healthcare sector. The event offered a valuable opportunity to discuss smart pharma logistics concepts with both existing and potential clients.
The Hamburg team recently headed to the Alster for a summer team-building adventure. Colleagues from both the Hamburg city and Norderstedt offices got together to explore the city by kayak. In groups of three to four, everyone paddled through the scenic canals. Afterward, the team gathered at a restaurant by the water, sharing a great evening. Cheers to teamwork and awesome memories!
Our Cologne colleagues teamed up with PROLOGUE Solutions to participate in the Begros Exhibition in June, organised by Germany’s largest furniture purchasing association. At the event, the team highlighted our expertise in importing furniture, especially from Asia, and our commitment to providing a seamless experience for our customers. The exhibition was a success, offering the chance to connect with industry leaders and potential partners.
On 8th June, the annual “Carnival Meets Golf” tournament teed off at the beautiful Golf Club Clostermanns Hof. Together with the Carnival Club “Grosse Braunsfelder,” we hosted a day of friendly competition. In the evening, the event transitioned into a fantastic reception. The highlight was a dance performance by the “Kölner Rheinveilchen,” who once again amazed the audience with their exceptional talent. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
In May, our CEOs Joerg Roehl and Daniel Steckel met with the US leadership team in Richmond, Virginia. The meeting was a great opportunity to strengthen ties, exchange insights and set plans for exciting future developments. A special thanks to our American colleagues for their commitment to fostering successful collaboration and continuous growth!
Fabian Heil, Managing Director MBS Zurich, presented business opportunities in the Cologne region at a seminar hosted by the German-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Cologne Business in Zurich. The event showcased Cologne’s transport connections, extensive catchment area and skilled workforce. MBS’s advancements in digitalisation and sustainability, with a focus on city logistics, were highlighted.
On 25th April, our Cologne office participated in ‘Girls’ Day,’ an annual event aimed at inspiring the next generation of women by offering a glimpse into different careers. We opened our doors to young girls, providing an exciting introduction to the world of logistics. The participants explored different facets of our industry – air and sea freight operations, logistics solutions, time-critical logistics and warehousing. The day was filled with discovery, fun and plenty of enthusiasm from the girls. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day a success!
